Autism-Friendly Vacation Home

Welcome to our autistic-minded, desert home nestled right beside Joshua Tree National Park. Hang out with the kids playing mini golf out in front or choose your favorite lawn game to enjoy. For more intimate talks, enjoy the warmth of the recessed fire pit and rope swings in the back with an area reserved for our furry friends. When it's time to relax, enjoy a fun movie on the projector in the theater room while sitting on lush bean bags. Enjoy your time at the home brought to you by Autxcapes!

This unique desert home has been specifically curated for families with children on the Autism Spectrum. We definitely encourage our guests to be mindful of this when booking with us:) The property is nestled among Joshua trees with spectacular views everywhere you look. It is minutes from Joshua Tree National Park as well as Pioneertown.

We have also included our local favorite spots in town as well as directions for our numerous safety features to help you relax while spending time with your family. From sensory lights to covered corners, the owners @Autxcapes have made sure to help insulate the property with safety measures with your family in mind during your stay. We even have dog bowls for you to utilize as well as treats!

*BEDROOMS

Guest Bedroom 1 has a queen luxury hybrid mattress complete with it's own hallway and private toilet with a user-friendly bidet.

Guest Bedroom 2 is the kids room which is complete with a full luxury hybrid mattress and two small, twin mattresses on the upper bunk. A ladder is kept locked but can be opened by adults in order for kids to access the upper beds.

Plenty of games to choose from as well as a small ball pit and fun modular furniture. Not to mention a sensory art piece as well as books to entertain the kids. -Did we mention the floors are padded?! Yes, soft and squishy for your socks to enjoy (not your shoes please).

Theatre Room has a projector and big screen for your favorite movies as well as lush bean bags so you can melt in while watching your epic movie. It also serves as a low sensory area as well :)

Master Bedroom has a king luxury hybrid mattress complete with a 50" Smart TV with Roku. It also has a small desk and lamp to help serve as a working station. The bathroom contains a standing shower and a user-friendly bidet.

* KITCHEN AND DINING AREA

The kitchen is fully outfitted and newly renovated for you. Complete with Nespresso coffee and accoutrements, the cabinets are protected with safety latches for your family as well as utensils that are non-breakable. (You will not find glass in the kitchen and anything sharp will be located in the upper shelves.)

The new fridge has filtered water and ice on the door for those warm, sunny days. We even have dog bowls and treats for your furry friends!

The connected dining area has views of the amazing Joshua Trees encompassing the property as well as ample seating so everyone can enjoy a delicious meal together.

Guests have access to the entire property and all of its available amenities.

* CLEANING FEE

100% of your cleaning fee goes to our cleaners. We do not profit from any of it.

*SENSORY SWINGS

We have provided instructions in our house manual on how to implement the sensory swings and gym while staying at the property.

*OUTSIDE GATE ALARMS

We have provided instructions in our house manual on how to implement the activation of outside gate alarms while staying at the property.

*TESLA CHARGING STATION

Please let us know if you'd like to use our charging station for a small daily fee.

* DOGGIE HELP

We do have doggie bowls, treats, and bags on site to help care for them.

*WIFI IN THE AREA

While we do have fast wifi, between 3pm-7pm in the high desert area, the wifi tends to slow down. This affects everyone in the area, not just us :)
