AUTxcapes is more than a vacation — it’s peace of mind. We create thoughtfully designed stays for families with autistic and neurodivergent children, where safety, comfort, and joy come first. Every space is curated to support your child’s needs and your family’s ability to relax, connect, and create lasting memories — without compromise.
AUTxcapes was founded by a small team deeply connected to the autism and neurodivergent community — as caregivers, educators, and advocates. After hearing too many families say, “We just can’t go on vacation,” we set out to change that.
We understand how hard it is to find places that feel truly welcoming and safe — where your child can thrive, and you can exhale. That’s why every AUTxcapes property is hand-selected and adapted to reduce stress, increase comfort, and support meaningful rest and play for the whole family.
Our mission is simple: to make family travel possible, joyful, and stress-free for those who need it most.
AUTxcapes is designed to give you peace of mind during your stay. There are added safety features throughout the residence to ensure your loved ones are protected during your stay.
To best serve families with autistic children, we have a variety of sensory items and equipment. This includes lighting and sound accommodations, with an added low sensory area. Additionally, parents have also been a focal point in the design of this home with several areas and amenities curated just for them.
AUTxcapes is located in the heart of the High Desert in Yucca Valley, California, just minutes away from Joshua Tree. Although the home is designed to be a peaceful escape it is conveniently located near a variety of delicious restaurants, supermarkets, and recreational activities. Your family can walk, hike, and explore the scenic views of The Joshua Tree National Park, with the nearest entrance less than 15 minutes away from the home. If you are visiting on a Saturday, our AUTxcapes team highly recommends the Joshua Tree Farmers Market, home to a variety of fresh and local produce.
